"Quills is a 2000 historical drama film that follows the life of the infamous Marquis de Sade (Geoffrey Rush), a French writer known for his controversial and sexually explicit works. Set in an 'insane asylum', the film explores the clash between freedom of expression and societal censorship as the Marquis continues to write despite being imprisoned. As his writings spark outrage and controversy, the asylum's doctor (Kate Winslet), struggles to maintain control over the situation. The film delves into themes of art, censorship, and the power of words in a provocative and thought-provoking manner."
