SLUTWALK MELBOURNE Presents Slut O’Ween 2018

SlutWalk Melbourne proudly presents Slut O’Ween, an all-magic, all-poetic, all-burlesque, all-slutty night of your dreams at Melbourne’s LOOP Bar.

SLUT O’Ween is an evening of eccentric and eclectic variety performers including the Burlesque artistry of Bam Bam, the sleight of hand from magician Creatrix Tiara

and an intimate performance and workshop from Melbourne Cult Dance, and many more in the lead up to SlutWalk Melbourne 2018. Heading to LOOP Bar on Saturday 27th October, Slut O’Ween is a preliminary fundraising event to raise money for the protest, happening Saturday 17th November.

SLUT O’Ween will boast a variety of performers from all realms of the performing arts who are all generously coming together to raise money for the annual Slutwalk Melbourne march. The full list of performers for SLUT O'Ween includes: Creatrix Tiara, Bam Bam, DISCOPHORIA, Lia Stark, Emma Belle, Nel Mama Boho, Cult Dance, plus DJ Shimmey Barnes on the decks all night and hosted by comedian Jordan Barr.

If you've got it, flaunt (and haunt) it with SlutWalk! Costumes are highly encouraged and there will be a parade and prizes for best costumes on the night.

Raffle prizes will be awarded on the night generously donated by Nikki Darling, Tibbs and Bones, Kiss Kill, Hara, Silent Arrow, Marley Myles and Ailie Banks to name a few. Event details and ticket link below!

SLUTWALK FUNDRAISING

SlutWalk Melbourne will return this November to rally the fundamental liberties of survivors of sexual harassment as a united front against slut-shaming and victim blaming. SlutWalk will see protestors rally down Swanston Street from The State Library to Federation Square.

Previous events include Slut-Fest, and Slut-Tea which successfully raised the necessary funds to bring this evet to light. In recent years, SlutWalk Melbourne has seen thousands of supporters take to the streets giving voices to those previously silenced by sexism and misogyny.

SlutWalk is a global movement and public protest that rallies against the notion of “victim blaming” – the concept that people who have been assaulted or raped made themselves a target through the way they dressed or acted.

ABOUT SLUTWALK
